Events Specialist
Objectives/Responsibilities:

  • Develop, manage, and execute event concepts and themes that align with the Pensacola Chamber of Commerce mission.
  • Ensure timely scheduling and communications of all events throughout the calendar year.
  • Establish strong working relationships with vendors, sponsors, and event venues.
  • Book venues, appropriate speakers, and catering in coordination with event leadership.
  • Organize seating charts, vendor placements, sponsorship materials, and other items as necessary for proper event execution.
  • Manage volunteers as necessary for event logistics and execution.
  • Maintain individual and annual events budget within a five percent variance of the outlined budget.
  • Manage and proactively administer communications of events, logistics, and Pensacola Chamber news through various written and verbal communication forms.
  • Collaborate with Digital Media personnel for communications efforts on the advertisements and marketing of events.
  • Act as necessary as the secondary for all social and digital media.
  • Consistently analyze trends and registrations of events to ensure the highest attendance for members and sponsorship ROI. 
  • Assist with securing sponsorships for events as assigned by leadership.
  • Collaborate with team members and leadership to provide unsurpassed customer service to all stakeholders*, guests, and community leaders.
  • Maintain a consistent and collaborative team working environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
*Stakeholders – Chamber Members, Internal Leadership, Sponsors, Board Members, etc.
