Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola will celebrate the completion of its new 40-bed Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on August 6 at 9 a.m. at 5192 Bayou Blvd. on the Ascension Sacred Heart campus. The state-of-the-art, three-story, 41,000-square-foot center expands the hospital's continuum of care.The new center will offer specialized physical, speech, and occupational therapies and medical care tailored for patients recovering from strokes, neurological injuries, severe trauma, orthopedic injuries, neurological disorders and other medically complex conditions. As the region's only Level I Trauma Center and a nationally certified Comprehensive Stroke Center, Ascension Sacred Heart can now provide a complete continuum of care by allowing patients who require intensive rehabilitation to remain on campus throughout their recovery journey without delay or disruption
