Rick is originally from Ft Myers, FL. He retired from the US Navy in 2006 after 23 years of service as both enlisted Sailor and commissioned Officer in submarines and destroyers. He also worked as a federal civilian in the Navy for the next 10 years in ocean acoustics and later in Naval Intelligence manpower. Rick holds a Bachelor of Science in Management from the University of Florida, Master of Science in Management/Manpower from the Naval Postgraduate School, and he earned his PhD in Human Capital Development from The University of Southern Mississippi in 2017. Rick is currently a full-time volunteer with Scouting America and holds various positions at the District level involving program planning, membership development, and community outreach. Rick is married to the former Angie Holcombe, also a retired naval officer, and they have two children, Sydney and Griffin.
