The Florida PTAC at UWF offers a workshop entitled ''Government Contracting 101: Set Asides-How Important Are They'' on Wednesday, June 19, from 10: 00 am – 12:00 pm. Have you ever wanted to get that "government contract" and wanted to know how to get started? Are you listed in SAMs and not finding the right things on which to bid? Have you heard that you need to be a "women-owned, veteran-owned or minority-owned business"? This is the class for you to take to learn if you are qualified for one of these set-asides, learn how to leverage your business and to get opportunities on which to bid. This class will answer all your basic questions, show you where to get assistance, and allow you to make knowledgeable decisions on doing business with the Federal Government. In addition, we will blow some of those myths of doing business with the Federal Government that you keep hearing out of the water!
