DESCRIPTION:The American Foundation of Suicide Prevention (AFSP) will be holding this ribbon cutting as part of their Hope Starts Here suicide prevention & training event (see the flyer below for registration instructions).AFSP is dedicated to saving lives and bringing hope to those affected by suicide\, including those who have experienced a loss. AFSP creates a culture that's smart about mental health by engaging in the following core strategies:1. Funding scientific research2. Educating the public about mental health and suicide prevention3. Advocating for public policies in mental health and suicide prevention4. Supporting survivors of suicide loss and those affected by suicide\nRibbon Cuttings\, hosted by the Greater Pensacola Chamber of Commerce\, are joyful celebrations of growth\, innovation\, and new beginnings in our vibrant business community. These meaningful events honor milestones such as grand openings\, expansions\, relocations\, and anniversaries\, each one a symbol of progress\, possibility\, and the entrepreneurial spirit that fuels Greater Pensacola. Most importantly\, Ribbon Cuttings are our official welcome to new Chamber members\, offering them the spotlight and support they deserve as they plant their roots or reach new heights in our region. Far more than just a photo and live video opportunity\, each ceremony is a moment of recognition and excitement\, complete with Chamber staff\, Chamber Ambassadors\, community leaders\, and fellow business owners rallying around to show their support.
